What tool do we use on the day?
Claude Code, installed on your own laptop. We also cover Claude Web and Claude Cowork, so you leave understanding which version fits which use case. No prior experience needed, the setup happens as part of the day.
Do I need any tech experience?
No. The day is designed for business owners, not developers. If you can describe a problem in your business clearly, you have everything you need to participate. We handle the technical setup and explain every step as we go.
What do I actually own after the day?
Everything. Your working prototype is set up in your own accounts on your own tools. You also receive the BlueGumAI workspace template: a pre-configured CLAUDE.md and context file set that gives any future AI session immediate context on your business. There is no platform dependency on us. It runs whether or not you ever work with BlueGumAI again.
Do I need to pay a subscription to keep using it?
Claude Code requires a Claude subscription from Anthropic. Pro is $20 per month and is sufficient for most small business use cases. Max is $200 per month for heavier usage. We cover this as part of the day so you know exactly what you are committing to before you leave.
What actually gets built on the day?
That depends on what you bring. We scope your prototype before the day so there are no surprises. Common outcomes include: an AI agent that answers questions about your business using your own documents, an automated workflow that replaces a manual task, or a client-facing system that handles enquiries. The brief is specific to you.
How many businesses are in the room?
Between 3 and 5. Each person builds their own prototype, but you share the room, which means you see what others are solving and often find ideas that apply to your own business. The group size is deliberate: small enough that everyone gets real time, large enough that the room has energy.
How is this different from an online course?
You leave with something running in your business, not a certificate or a list of modules to work through. We are not teaching you about AI in the abstract. We are building a specific system for your specific business, on the day, in the room, with you doing the work alongside us.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop and your business. We send a short pre-day brief after you register so you arrive with the right information ready. Everything else is handled on the day.

Mark spent close to a decade working in customer success and implementation at some of the world's fastest-growing software companies. The common thread across all of it was straightforward: helping businesses get real value from technology, not just get it switched on.

He spent three years at Shopify as a Merchant Success Manager, advising enterprise merchants and guiding them through platform adoption, new product rollouts, and operational change. Before that, he built customer success functions from the ground up at high-growth startups including Smile.io and Limepay, managing hundreds of clients and consistently cutting time-to-value in half.

More recently he co-founded a consulting agency working with healthtech businesses on AI implementation, rolling out CRMs, AI support tools, and voice workflows across medical clinics and health applications.

After several successful projects in that space, he decided to bring the same approach to small businesses closer to home. That's what BlueGumAI is. Practical implementation, from someone who has spent years helping businesses make the most of technology.

Information is collected when you submit the enquiry form on this website. Form submissions are processed via Make.com (formerly Integromat), an automation platform operated by Celonis SE. Make.com may temporarily store submission data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States and European Union. By submitting the form, you consent to this transfer.

4. Why we collect it

We collect your information solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and determine whether we can help your business
  • Schedule and conduct an initial consultation
  • Provide services you have engaged us for
  • Send service-related communications where you have agreed to work with us

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information may be passed to Make.com for form processing and to email service providers used to send you a response. We will not disclose your information to any other party without your consent, unless required to do so by law.

6. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Enquiry and prospect records are retained for up to 2 years. Records relating to clients we have worked with are retained for 7 years to meet obligations under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. Records are securely deleted when no longer required.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which collects anonymised data about how visitors use the site. This data does not identify you personally. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request that we delete your information (subject to any legal obligations)

Who is behind BlueGumAI?
BlueGumAI was founded by Mark Latham, a Blue Mountains local with a background in digital marketing, business automation, and AI implementation. Mark works directly with every client. There is no team of juniors doing the work on your behalf. When you book a call, you are talking to the person who will be setting everything up.
How much does it cost?
Our services start from $1,500 for setup and $350 per month on a retainer. We also offer a free 15-minute intro call and an optional on-site AI Audit at $497, credited in full toward any work you go ahead with. The best way to get an accurate number is to have a quick conversation about what your business actually needs.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your monthly retainer at any time. We keep clients by doing good work, not by trapping them in agreements.
What does the AI Audit include?
We come on site, spend a couple of hours with you, and map out exactly how your business runs today. We look at where leads come from, how enquiries are handled, what tools you already use, and where time is being lost to manual or repetitive work. You leave with a written plan. The $497 audit fee is credited in full toward any work you go ahead with, so it costs you nothing if you proceed.

How long does setup take?
Most clients are up and running within 3 to 5 days of their first conversation with us. We move quickly because we have built these systems before and we know exactly what needs to happen. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Do I need to know anything about AI?
No. We explain everything in plain English and never assume you know any technical terms. Our job is to make this work for your business, not to impress you with jargon. If something is confusing, ask. There are no silly questions here.
What do I need to have ready before we talk?
Nothing. Just a rough idea of what you do and what is not working. We take it from there. The first call is a conversation, not a briefing document. Most people come in with a vague sense that they are missing leads or not showing up online, and that is more than enough to get started.
Can you help if I already have a website and Google Business Profile?
Yes. Most of our clients already have some kind of online presence. We assess what you have, identify what is working and what is not, and build from there. You do not need to start from scratch. Sometimes a few targeted changes make a significant difference quickly.

These Terms and Conditions govern your engagement with BlueGumAI (operated by Mark Latham, ABN 42 108 823 341, Blue Mountains NSW, Australia). By submitting an enquiry or engaging BlueGumAI for services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

BlueGumAI provides AI implementation, digital marketing, website development, local SEO, lead management systems, and related services to small businesses. The specific scope of work for each engagement will be agreed in writing before commencement.

2. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your business and requirements
  • Grant timely access to systems, accounts, and platforms required to deliver the agreed services
  • Respond to communications within a reasonable timeframe so that work is not delayed
  • Ensure you have authority to provide any systems, data, or accounts shared with us
  • Meet payment obligations as agreed

3. Fees and Payment

  • Setup and project fees are due prior to or at commencement of work unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Monthly retainer fees are invoiced monthly in advance
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of issue
  • All fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable

4. Cancellation

  • Monthly retainers may be cancelled at any time with 14 days written notice to mark@bluegumai.com.au
  • Fees already invoiced at the time of cancellation notice remain payable
  • Setup and project fees for completed work are non-refundable

5. Intellectual Property

  • Work product created specifically for you (websites, automations, workflows, written content) becomes your property upon receipt of full payment for that work
  • BlueGumAI retains all rights to its own methodologies, frameworks, templates, tools, and know-how developed independently of your engagement
  • Third-party software and platforms used in delivering services remain subject to their own licensing terms
  • You grant BlueGumAI a non-exclusive licence to use your business name, logo, and materials as required to deliver the agreed services

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public business information disclosed during the engagement. BlueGumAI will not share your business information with third parties except where necessary to deliver the agreed services or as required by law.

7. AI Tools and Third-Party Services

BlueGumAI uses AI tools and automation platforms in delivering its services, including Anthropic Claude and Make.com. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that:

  • Data you provide may be processed by these third-party platforms
  • Each platform operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy
  • BlueGumAI takes reasonable care in selecting and using third-party tools but is not liable for the acts or omissions of those platforms

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • BlueGumAI provides services with reasonable care and skill
  • We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including increased leads, revenue, search rankings, time savings, or cost reductions
  • AI tools and automated systems have inherent limitations and performance will vary across different industries, markets, and business conditions
  • Any results referenced on this website reflect individual client experiences and are not typical or guaranteed
  • Nothing on this website constitutes professional legal, financial, or business advice

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • BlueGumAI's total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the fees paid for that specific service
  • BlueGumAI is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited

10. Termination for Cause

BlueGumAI may suspend or terminate services immediately if you fail to meet payment obligations, provide materially false information, or commit a serious breach of these terms. Outstanding fees remain payable on termination.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

BlueGumAI may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued engagement with our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
